In the 2015-2016 school year there are many new additions to the Antioch Community High School family. One of the newest additions is Matt Larsen, a new physical education and freshman football coach.

In addition to being a coach, Larsen has big plans for the future of ACHS as he hopes to start a lacrosse team down the road. He also has big plans for his own future as he is getting married this weekend.

Larsen grew up in the Vernon Hills area and went to Illinois State for his college education and then went to Albert Naseri for a driver’s education and health education. After college Larsen was an aid at the Vernon Hills Middle School.

This past spring Larsen applied to ACHS and got the job and is now a Physical Education teacher. What Larsen likes about being a sequoit is “Being a part of the 100 years tradition, and getting to be a part of the next generation at ACHS, ” said Larsen.

Please welcome Mr. Larsen to ACHS as we start our 101st school year.
