The girls Varsity bowling team went lane to lane against Zion-Benton on Tuesday, January 24, at Sunset Lanes. The girls did not come out on top, losing by only a number of pins.

“The match went great,” freshman Allison Kane said. “Everyone on the team did great today. I feel that everyone on the team could have picked up easy spares, but we did hit our mark almost every ball,” Kane said.

Varsity bowler, junior Jillian Everett earned a series score of 484 pins throughout the three games in the match.

The girls start their first round of postseason play on Friday, January 27, against other teams in the Northern Lake County Conference in a competitive conference match.

“I think that the team has a great chance of placing because we always stay optimistic, and don’t let our bad scores get us down,” Kane said.

The girl’s next match is Friday, January 27.
