Pokémon GO has come and gone in its popularity. When the app was first released, it had been downloaded over 500 million times within the first two months. It was the top downloaded game on the grossing apps list in the Apple App Store, even though it has seen a decline in its downloads.

“I like Pokémon GO because I played it as a kid and it’s fun to see it become a reality,” junior Rolando Vazquez said.

After the apps most recent release, over 80 new Pokémon have been added. Some of the Pokémon that have been added include Teddiursa, Murkrow and Sentret. Along with adding new Pokémon to the game, new features have also been added into the game, such as Slowpoke evolving into Slowing rather than Slowbro. Not only were new Pokémon added, but there were also 86 new moves added into the game. Players can find Pokémon all over the world including at school, in one’s home and even out in the woods.

“I like it because it’s a game where you can get with your friends and play, and it makes you get up and get out of your house,” junior Nicholas Galante said.
