There are many people on the track team, but one person stands out from the rest of the team. Senior Landon Keefover is arguably the best hurdler at ACHS. This year, Keefover has gotten his personal record in all of his events: the 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, the 4×1 relay and the 4×4 relay.

“By the end of the year I’d definitely want to get top three in state in the 110m hurdles,” Keefover said.

Keefover is planning on going to Indiana State at the division one level for track. Track is the kind of sport where an athlete has to actually try and put forth effort in order to become a better runner. During all practices, Keefover is always focused and is always working hard. Keefover is in mainly in the 110m and 300m hurdles, but he is also one two relay teams; the 4×1 and the 4×4 which he is very good at.

With being on a track team for four years an athlete tends to learn a lot. An athlete learns about the sport itself, but also the valuable life lessons.

“I’ve learned to be coachable and no matter how good you are, you can always improve,” Keefover said.

It’s always best for an athlete to keep pushing themself to be the best they can be, and that is exactly what Keefover does.
