On Friday, Sept. 5, Antioch Community High School’s varsity football team beat Glendbard South with a 24-20 victory. Junior and running back Griffin Hill had a total of 115 yards, cementing a new ACHS record. Griffin ran for a 99-yard touchdown, beating alumnus Cameron White’s 2007 record of 96 yards.

“I feel really good since Cameron White holds most of the record, and this is just one small step to breaking more,” said Griffin. “One of my goals this season is to break the record for the most rushing yards in a season, but my main goal is for the team to have a great season.”

On Friday, Sept. 12, the Sequoits trounced Round Lake Community High School at home. With the ACHS football team is coming off two big wins, Friday’s away game against Vernon Hills will certainly be one to watch.
