Valentine’s Day is completely and totally unnecessary.

Girls all around feel as though they should be treated like a princess. They need to be taken out on an expensive date, flowers and chocolates and maybe even get a big teddy bear. If girls feel that this is their one day to be treated special, they are probably dating a bad guy.

Now boys, if you really have feelings for the girl you are dating, you show them the same amount of love and respect every day, right? One day shouldn’t be more important than another. However, that doesn’t mean girls deserve a present every single day. Girls appreciate the little things. Tell them they are pretty. Don’t be afraid to let them know how much they mean to you. And, don’t say “I love you,” unless you really mean it. Money isn’t everything and if that is all your girlfriend cares about, dump her.

Valentines Day is coming. Let’s make sure we don’t make it more than it is supposed to be—another Hallmark holiday.
