Thursday, the Antioch Community High School Choirs had their last concert of the year. It was full of laughs and tears as the seniors said their final goodbyes to the family they have had for four years.

Senior Charles Taylor has been in Acapella choir all four years of high school.

“I had as much fun as I could, and it was probably my favorite concert,” Taylor said. “We have just had this family, and we act like brothers and sisters together. I wouldn’t give up this bond for anything.”

Every year, one lucky choir member receives the Joe Rodgers Scholarship for demonstrating leadership, having a positive attitude and an overall love for choir. This year’s recipient was junior Abigail Russell.

“I was really surprised,” she said. “I was just sitting there listening to her speech and then she called my name.”
