The D117 lacrosse team played a tough game against Cary-Grove last night, April 20, with a final score of 6-13; which gives them a record of 1-6. The team never gave up and fought the whole way through, but unfortunately didn’t finish with the outcome they were hoping to receive.

They had started off a little slow in the first half, but in the second half they had come out ready to fight back. The boys were pushing the ball better in transition and gave themselves scoring opportunities off of the transitions.

Junior Gino Riforgiato thinks they definitely have the potential to be better, but they just need to build better chemistry first.

“Moving forward we need to build more chemistry and being such an incredibly young team, we are unfamiliar with each other’s tendencies,” Riforgiato said. “That will just come with time playing together.”

The team is still confident in themselves and are continuing to practice and get better as a team.
