Finally, after years of coming in and out of style, the turtleneck trend is making yet another comeback.

Typically when women and men think of turtlenecks they automatically picture the Gap department store logo.

However, it may come to surprise that this fashion trademark is sold within majority of the departments at Nordstroms, meaning a turtleneck if definitely looked upon as a chic clothing item.

Whether a Saturday night out with friends or just a typical day walking the halls at school, a turtleneck should be a go-to.

Another neat thing about turtlenecks is that you automatically look more sophisticated no matter your age.

“I absolutely love the turtleneck trend,” senior Anna Locklear said. “They keep my neck warm in the winter as well as go with so many different types of bottoms.”

Men can easily dress up a turtleneck by adding a sleek blazer along with a darker pair of denim jeans and oxford shoes.

For women, a turtleneck looks best paired with a skirt or even a pair of leggings and chunky, heeled booties.

“I typically wear turtlenecks with skinny jeans and some type of long necklace,” senior Allison Craun said.

Simplicity is what makes the turtleneck work with multiple styles and vibes; the turtleneck is timeless.

Not to mention, turtlenecks are guaranteed to keep you warm in the brisk Illinois temperatures.

Senior Courtney Coleman wears turtlenecks to not only make a fashion statement, but, of course, to also stay warm.

Since turtlenecks are sold at most department stores, there is bound to be a good deal. Don’t forget to check sale racks for the best deal or even find your inner Macklemore and go thrift shopping.
