Field hockey had their fourth game of the season playing against St. Ignatius College Prep. With a Sequoits defeat to opponent in double overtime 1-0. With incredible defense and remarkable stops from senior goalie Rebekah Cartlidge and senior Paige Hope,  St. Ignatius could not score. Defense seemed to be the focus of the night making the game go into overtime.

“We knew we needed to work on communication and just pass better,” junior Kiana Graushar said.

Graushar was one of the many players on the field during the first overtime and contributing to her team’s better position to win by heading to the shootout for a one v. one against the opposing team’s goalie. Which is where St. Ignatius took the lead.

“I wasn’t in on the one v. ones, but I was definitely nervous for my teammates and especially because it puts a lot of pressure on my teammates and the goalie,” sophomore

Callie Tubbs said.

The field hockey team believes to have the season they want they need to start communicating more and continue getting better every practice.
