Last Friday, the Sequoits girls golf team played a hard fought match against the Libertyville Wildcats at Willow Glen Golf Course.

Throughout the season, the girls have put in lots of time to make a name for themselves and to show the rest of the teams in the conference that they are here to win. The girls fought hard and were unwilling to give up throughout the entire match.

The team was led by seniors senior Karley Rogalski and senior Samantha Brown, who are key leaders and examples for the rest of the team. The girls put up their best fight but came up short in the battle, losing 185-213.

Brown kept her head up and is ready to put the match behind her and move on to the next one.

“We have had our ups and downs all season,” Brown said. “I am very proud of my team because we lost one of our top players and they were able to step up to the challenge.”

The Sequoits will be taking on the Lakes Eagles for the conference championship Monday, September 17, at Spring Valley Golf Course.
