The varsity field hockey team battled for a title in the Gateway Classic tournament over Labor Day weekend. The team lost two games and won one game after being delayed due to a tornado warning. Playing their rescheduled game at 6:40 in the morning was a surprising benefit for the performance of the team, resulting in the girls winning 4-0.
