A Healthier Alternative To Cake Pops

Yogurt and fruit cake pops are fun and easy to make.

Cake pops have recently become a phenomenon. This little dessert is sold at Starbucks and many other coffee shops. Although they taste like a little piece of heaven in your mouth, they are not very healthy. Instead, try these colorful sweet treats. They are super simple and do not require many ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • Apples (other fruit)
  • Yogurt
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Crushed Peanuts

You Will Need:

  • Melon Scooper
  • Cake Pop Sticks
  • Cutting Board (Optional)

First you need to cut an apple or fruit of choice in half. Then take your melon scooper and scoop out small circles of the fruit. Once you have a desired amount of fruit, stick the cake pop stick in the center and dip it into a flavor of yogurt. After dipping them in yogurt, cover them with toppings of your choice. Mini chocolate chips and crushed peanuts work best. Once you have gotten the desired product, put the fruit pops in the freezer to harden for 45 minutes.

Once taking them out of the freezer, they are ready to enjoy.
