Antioch Community High School’s boys varsity soccer team took a 6-0 win against Woodstock North on Tuesday, October 20th, sealing the regional semi-final game for the Sequoits.

Despite the slow start with a 1-0 halftime score, the Sequoits came back strong the second half to crush the opponent and move onto the regional final game.

“It took us a while to get used to the field, but once we finally figured it out we quickly scored and really controlled the second half,” said senior captain Jordan Keller. “Our teamwork is a good sign for our upcoming game against Harvard.”

Freshman Krystian Nikolov assisted to the Sequoit win with 2 goals. Nikolov plans to carry this mindset and motivation into the regional final game against Harvard.

“I feel good going into the next game because I’m confident with our team and our performance,” said Nikolov. “I know we will play to the best of our ability in the next game and I’m hoping to bring Antioch a regional plaque.”

The boys will face Harvard at Harvard on Saturday, October 24th.
