The small town business located in Antioch, Ceramics For You, has recently closed. This was a hot spot for young kids and teenagers to come and celebrate birthdays or learn how to paint. However, it has moved in with the Gurnee location.

“I haven’t been there in awhile but now that I know it’s closed I want to go there,” senior Sydney Kraus said. “Every kid definitely had or went to a birthday party there, too.”

Ceramics For You owner, Amy Langille, decided she wanted to spend more of life’s moments with her family and kids. She had successful classes like the Breakfast with Santa that would sell out every year with a waiting list. This was a strong, small business financially with great, supportive customers.

“How lucky I was to own a place that operated on creativity and fun- complaints were few and compliments were many,” Langille said.

This small town pottery place will surely be missed, but at least it’s not far from home. Many memories have been made here and will stay close to everyone.
