Summer in winter week ended with a great show from a local band named Chronic Edge.

Tom Kocal, one of the band members, was a former ACHS Student and is also currently working at ACHS. Kocal had contacted Antioch Community High School requesting for his band to play during summer in winter week, and the request was accepted.

Chronic Edge performed during lunch hours on Fri. Feb. 21. Students were free to go anytime during their lunch hours.

“If they want to leave the cafeteria or commons they can go to the auditorium,” said ACHS Dean of Students Pat McGuigan. “We’ll have adults in there, and they can come and go as they like.”

Chronic Edge played a mixture of music including 80’s classic. The crowd seemed to love the music, standing and cheering after the songs they played, and at one point waving their phones in the air.

After seeing how many students seemed to like the performance by Chronic Edge it would not be a surprise if they return for a repeat performance in coming years.
