Antioch Community High School Principal Bradford Hubbard announced today the hiring of business teacher Donna Corcoran as the new Career and Technical Education department chair starting for the 2014-2015 school year.
Hubbard said in an email to the staff that the building leadership team is excited to have Corcoran join the leadership team and to see what is in store for the CTE department.
The CTE department includes classes in family and consumer sciences, applied technology and business.
Corcoran will fill the role vacated by current department chair Susie Soukup. Soukup will be retiring at the end of the school year.
Soukup’s retirement left a vacancy across Community High School District 117 since she currently serves as chair in both high schools in the district. Lakes Community High School English teacher and ACHS girls and boys varsity tennis coach Neil Lesinski will be taking over as CTE chair at LCHS.
