The Chicago Cubs have not won the World Series since 1908, which means over 100 years of losing seasons. Cubs fans have waited too long for their team to win the World Series and this year brings a lot of hype.

Recently, the Cubs kicked off their season in Arizona for spring training, but that is not the only reason for the hype.

The Cubs picked up John Lester, a new pitcher, along with Joe Maddon, a new manager, and a new catcher Miguel Montero. All of which will be a big part of the Cubs future success.

Or, to the diehard fan, the hype comes from the popular 80’s movie Back To The Future II. In the movie when Marty McFly travels to the year 2015. As he walks around, a bannister appears that says the Cubs won the 2015 World Series.

“The cubs are looking really good this year. I knew they were going to do well based on how they looked even before I realized the Back to the Future prediction. I’m really excited to see how this season will turn out,” junior Kyle Babcock said.

No matter what, the Cubs are looking good in 2015.
