Companies and brands around the world look to promote and make a profit from holidays and seasons throughout the year. The closest holiday is now Valentine’s Day, with the day of love just around the corner, brands have begun to drop their food and clothing lines related to the holiday to help draw in more customers as well as get the attention of all those in love.
Starbucks creates seasonal and festive lines for each season and or holiday to help put customers all over the world in the holiday spirit. Now that Valentine’s Day is only a few days away, Starbucks has dropped its Valentine’s Day line. The line dropped on Monday, Feb 4, and includes five new drinks, one new food item and a handful of tumblers and cold cups to choose from.
The five drinks include three brand-new Refreshers, all blackberry sage-based. Options include a regular blackberry sage refresher, a blackberry sage lemonade and a Midnight refresher, which consists of the same base made from coconut milk. The lemonade is said to add the perfect balance of tartness and sweetness. These Refreshers have quickly made their way around social media, where numerous influencers and users have created and posted drink reviews. Nearly all reviews report back that this new Refresher tastes nearly identical to the now discontinued Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher, which not only puts customers into the holiday mood but also offers them a blast from the past.
Along with the Refreshers, the company has also dropped a new frappuccino and a cold brew. The Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Creme Frappucino is a blended base of strawberry puree and chocolate chips layered on top with whipped cream and mocha drizzle, creating the perfect colored holiday drink. This cold brew is a fan favorite among those who enjoy coffee, and it offers a brand new chocolate hazelnut-flavored cold foam. The drink is a cold brew base with sweetened vanilla syrup and paired with the new cold foam and chocolate cookie crumbles. The cold brew is said to have a strong coffee taste with a side of chocolate sweetness, so those who do not have the strongest liking of coffee may not be the biggest fans of this drink.
This drop did not include as many treats as others have, but customers can never go wrong with a festive cake pop. The drop also includes a tad more merchandise than others, making perfect last-minute Valentine’s Day gifts for friends and loved ones.
Though this drop did not include as many new drinks and food as before, the sweetness and unique drinks make up for it. Not only that, but fans all across the world have tried and perfected their own Valentine’s drink recipes, offering a handful of more fun and unique drinks to try. These festive drinks are set to stay out for the remainder of February, as well as into March, until the drop of the spring menu, where customers can be expecting returning and new recipes and drinks. Stay tuned- until then, visit your local Starbucks and give this Valentine’s Day drop a try.
