Every other year, the Fine Arts program at ACHS fundraises to go on a trip over spring break.

This year, the members of the Fine Arts program traveled and performed at a Disney park in Orlando, Florida.

Senior Giovanni Rodriquez said, “Although it was a pretty long bus ride to get there,  the trip was fantastic because of all the fun I had and all the memories I made. I will never forget it. the most memorable part was the day we went to the Magic Kingdom. It was so amazing to see it all and experience everything with my closest friends. And later at night when we would just be in the hotel room relaxing and fooling around the entire time.”

Depending on what Fine Arts program they were affiliated with, students were given the opportunity to attend certain workshops regarding their talents.

Senior Samantha Brands said, “The workshop that was on Monday was my favorite. We were able to learn more than we ever knew before and had such an experienced person help us and teach us things that helped make us better performers in general. We were also able to play along with the movie ‘Frozen.’ They gave us the sheet music for it and we played it along with the movie. The tech guy put it all together and we got to see what it was like to record something and then put it together with a movie. It was a lot more difficult than people think.”

Despite the constant exercise from walking around the parks and the early morning wake up calls, students that went to Orlando this past spring break learned a lot and were happy to be able to bring their knowledge back to fellow classmates.
