International Fair Exposes Students to New Experiences

Tasty food, diverse cultures bring students to the annual event.

Antioch Community High School’s annual international fair took place Saturday, April 2, and did an excellent job representing many different countries and cultures. Each country set up with their own station with various aspects from each culture.

Some stations had fun prizes, and games, but every single table had food representing a country. For example, Italy had pizza and chocolate bread, and Spain had rice with various meats inside of it. Each table represented something new and exciting.

The Spanish club took control of the Mexico table, and it was a hit. They had authentic toys and candy from Mexico for sale, along with treats.

“I got a cupcake from the Spanish club,” junior Annie Wagner said. “It was really good. The frosting had green, red and white for the Mexico flag.”
