Finishing a two-week winter break, Antioch Community High School students and staff returned to the building on Jan. 4.

“Monday was a drag for me,”  junior Jack Gabriel said. “I hit the snooze button at least seven times.”

The start of winter break marked the end of first semester; it is time to get back into gear and finish out the rest of the school year strong.

“After two weeks of being off school, I really didn’t want to come back,” junior Connor Geidner said. “But I plan on taking advantage of the beginning of the semester by getting my grades up right away and getting my sleeping schedule back in track.”

With a four-day weekend coming up next weekend, students will have a chance to relax after the the first two difficult weeks of the year.

“I always like the four-day weekends,” junior Michael Kawell said. “It is a good chance to get my mind off school.”
