One of Antioch Community High School’s football game traditions is Pancake Night. On Friday nights after home football games, the Linco family opens up their doors to anyone hungry for pancakes.

Tracy Linco said, “Eight years ago, our oldest daughter, Miranda, attended a home game and brought friends over and they were starving. So we made them pancakes. One of the girls said, ‘We have to have pancake night after every home football game.’ So we did.”

This late night tradition would not work without the masterminds of parents Bob and Tracy Linco who now have a second daughter, Brianna, attending ACHS.

Bob Linco said, “We had a deal where she does all of the cleaning and I do all of the cooking.”

After some figuring, the Linco’s shared that Bob cooks around 170 delicious, delightful pancakes.

ACHS senior Grant Hackeloer said, “[The pancakes are] stacks of fluffy heaven.”

With a choice between chocolate chip and regular, pancakes get eaten left and right. If someone wants more, they make more.

Senior Haley Capek has been attending Pancake Night all four of her years at ACHS.

Capek said, “My favorite part about Pancake Night is eating pancakes and spending time with my friends.”

Freshman Lauren Bluthardt experienced Pancake Night for the first time and said, “I was starving after the kickoff game and wanted to eat some pancakes with good people.”

Win or lose, the Linco’s home is always open after Friday night home football games. After students cheer their hearts out, it is only fitting to get rewarded by pancakes.

Tracy Linco said, “At the scrimmage game two years ago, 90 people came.”

Bob and Tracy’s youngest daughter, senior Brianna Linco, thought they could do better.

She said, “My sister’s largest number was 60 and I beat that my sophomore year. But since it is the centennial celebration this year, I want 100 people to come.”

See if the Linco’s can top 90 after cheering on the ACHS football team on Aug. 29, 2014, against Kenosha Tremper at ACHS.
