The Netflix Sci-fi, horror and drama series “Stranger Things” returns for the fourth season to screens on May 27, being released as two volumes. Many individuals who have followed the series are excited to see what the creators, known as the Duffer Brothers, have to offer their audience this time around.

July 15, 2016 was the release of the first season of “Stranger Things”, spiking the globe; the series features many actors such as Milly Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Gaten Matorazzo, Charlie Heaton, David Harbour, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Cara Buono, Dacre Montgomery, Maya Hawke and many more. People are excited to see their favorite actors take the roles of these characters and watch them come to life on their screens once more.

“I am excited to see El in the upcoming season,” freshman Elle Luebke said. “She is the definition of a ‘Girl Boss’. Seeing El grow as a character throughout the seasons makes me much more excited to see what she has for the upcoming season.”

“Stranger Things” has a variety of action packed scenes the fans miss and cannot wait to see more of. The Duffer Brothers never fail to leave the audience with intense horror, as sci-fi filled scenes of the “upside down, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

“One thing I’m looking forward to is all the action,” freshman Macbeth Jimenez said. “ In one trailer for ‘Stranger Things’ season 4, Eleven exclaims over a clip of her writing to Mike, We will have the best spring break ever. But things didn’t look so great from watching the rest of the trailer. So, there’s gonna be lots of action.”

Due to the global pandemic, production of the new season was set back, leaving fans waiting for a new season for over two years. Trailers of season four have been shared through multiple social media platforms, keeping viewers eager to see what is to come.

Production has also let the fan bases know there will be two volumes of season four. The first volume will be coming out May 27, followed by the second volume being released July 1, keeping the suspense real for fans.

“The story line is too long to be released as a singular season,” junior Elle Gonzalez said. “Season 4 will be two volumes, the first on May 27, and the second on July 1. I am excited for new characters as well, one of them being played by Amybeth Mcnulty, who plays Anne in the Netflix show ‘Anne With an E.’”

Students of Antioch Community High School are anticipating the franchise to continue, along with the world.
