The Hallway No People Enter

The hallway that people see on normal basis but have never explored.

If a student does not take part in band or theater, one hallway in the south end of the school is a territory they do not often have to enter.

Some students may know it from entering the building after bus drop-offs or from running the hallways during Physical Education. Others  have lockers there and may even have schedules revolving around this long hallway.

Freshman Emma Poklop uses the hallway daily and knows of the low frequency of visitors.

“I go through the band hallway twice a day,” Poklop said. “I like it because whenever I’m in it there’s no one there so I’m able to walk fast.”

Meanwhile, sophomore and choir student Nathan Vogt has a different opinion.

“They have a bunch of different periods of choirs and bands and orchestras,” Vogt said. “It depends on if a student has to go there for a locker or if they have to go that way.”

Poklop thinks the low amount of people in that hallway is due to it being away from other highly populated areas.

“It is not very useful to most people,” Poklop said. “It’s on the opposite side of the school for most classes.”

Vogt also believes there are ways that this hallway can gain more exposure

“They can put in an activity board to advertise concerts,” Vogt said. “Kind of like the one in the hall on the other side of the auditorium.”

Some students may never step into the band hallway, while it remains for students to see and avoid.
