Halloween is a holiday that most people love; a day to dress up, have fun with your friends and have an excuse to act like a child. Whether you go trick or treating, out with friends or stay home with family, there is always an excuse to dress up. However, there is never an excuse to have an ugly costume. This is what I think you should dress up as for this Halloween.
As the years go by, trends go in a continual loop. Most want to have a “trendy” costume, but you can not be too on-trend or else your costume will be deemed basic by a majority of people. So, everyone is on the hunt for a costume that is on trend, as well as easy to execute and not lame.
I say that it is always safer to go with a concept rather than a character if your goal is to look better than everybody else. Instead of dressing up as Tinkerbell, instead dress up as a fairy because if you do not look exactly like Tinkerbell, that is a miss and officially considered a bad costume in my book.
However, if you are going to go as a character, here are some that I recommend.
If you want to be original but still recognizable, go with Regina George post-bus accident. If you are going with a group of friends, some options include the Scooby Gang, The Cheetah Girls, The Spice Girls, and many more. Whatever you do, do not show up anywhere with your friend group dressed up as M&M’s or crayons.
Barbie and Ken is always a solid option if you are looking for a couples costume. With the new Barbie movie coming out in 2023, paparazzi photos have already been leaked. Be ahead of the curve and dress up as Margot Robbie and Ryan Renyolds dressed up as Barbie and Ken.
If you plan on going as something solo, make sure it is the most show-stopping outfit you have ever worn. Feel free to make up Halloween costumes from stuff lying around your house; make sure it does not look like an everyday outfit; I do not care how you get your Halloween costume, just make sure that it looks up to par with my opinion.
