Happy people are the kind of people that can walk into a room and instantly brighten the mood. Their happiness radiates to everyone around them and nothing can bring them down. That kind of happiness is something we strive for our whole lives, and a few of the happiest people at Antioch Community High School shared their secrets to being happy.

Is it payday, a sunshiney day or going on a vacation that makes people happy? For ACHS math teacher Megan Webster, it’s the little things.

“It’s when I see a student help another student, when I add the perfect amount of creme and sugar to my morning coffee,  when a new season of my favorite show comes out on Netflix or I can restart an old classic, or when the radio station seems to be playing perfect songs to my commute. What makes me happy is when I take the time to notice and capture those simple moments,” said Webster.

As for the secret to happiness, junior Brian Mrowiec had wise words of wisdom to share.

Mrowiec said, “There is no secret. Because it’s right there, in front of you. You just have to find your something. Once you find that one thing that makes you happy, you gotta give it everything you’ve got.”

Whatever it may be that makes you happy, appreciate it and live every day to the fullest.
