Senior Jeff Horton has made his dream a reality. Sophomore year he had a simple idea about a group that would come together and write skits that would be put into a show every few months for the people of Antioch to come see and enjoy.

“I’m hoping to put on a show that has the potential to be recurring and has the structure to allow for creativity,” Horton said.

Finally, this year, it has turned into a reality. There is currently a group of 21 members who meet everyday after school to make skits that will soon be put to use on stage to entertain the people of Antioch. The skits range anywhere from a “Motivation-less Speaker” to “Heaters Theater” which consists of two actors reading off a script meanwhile eating hot foods to see how well they can perform with the spiciness

A wide range of ideas and students are coming together so that a January show, and hopefully many more to come, of A-Town Live will be possible. Currently, A-Town Live will be hosting auditions on Monday, December 11 from 5pm to 7pm and Tuesday, December 12 3:30pm to 5:30pm for students who are wanting and willing to act in the January show.
