In the last week, the varsity boys volleyball team has played three games and participated in one invitational. Coming away from the week of competition, the Sequoits hold two wins and six losses.

“It is pretty upsetting that we have lost,” senior Christian Ortiz said. “We had much greater expectations and we expected a greater outcome.”

Despite the losses, the boys have a full week of practice until their next four games start on April 23.

“We will prepare by going much harder in practice and having a much better mentality before our games,” Ortiz said.

The team’s overall goal is not to worry about each loss, but to learn from the losses so that they can work towards their goal of winning the regional championship.
