Antioch Golf Takes a Win and a Loss

Antioch girls golf beats Waukegan 226-237 and losses to Libertyville 175-226.

On Monday September 25, the Antioch girls golf team took on the Libertyville Wildcats and the Waukegan Bulldogs at Willow Glen golf course.

During the match, the Sequoits, the Bulldogs and the Wildcats all displayed that they have experienced and talented golfers on their rosters. The Libertyville team shot the lowest with a 41, 44 and two 45’s, which gave the Wildcats an ending score of 175.

Junior Samantha Brown and senior Taylor Comer were not far behind, leading the Sequoits with scores of 51 and 57. Antioch ended with a score of 226 with contributions by junior Karley Rogalski and Madison Maish as well. Waukegan’s lowest scores of the day were a 61 and a 66, making for a combined score of 237. The Antioch golf team won the two previous matches, but fell short against Libertyville.

“Today we put forth a good effort and I would like to build of off this and improve,” senior Taylor Comer said.

The Antioch Sequoits are looking to improve their scores and get back on their winning streak on Tuesday, September 26 in their next invitational hosted by Grant at the Spring Valley golf course.
