Antioch’s American Stars of Dance
Small town Antioch homes American Stars of Dance, a studio that gives people a chance to speak with movements instead of words.

Antioch’s American Stars of Dance offers classes for citizens from the ages of 18 months all the way to 100 years old. The business offers two studios, one in Antioch and one in Lake Villa. They offer ballet, tap and jazz style recreational classes, but the dancers do not dance competitively. The dancers perform in a Christmas recital and the studio’s big show in June. Studio owner and teacher Kathy Pierce has a team of other teachers that work alongside her.
“I have a team of teachers from various places,” Pierce said. “Most of them have full time jobs and they come in and teach one night a week.”
Each teacher has their own favorite age groups to work with, as well as their varied styles of teaching that make up the teamwork involved in running the studio. The relationships among the dancers and teachers allow the studios to run as smoothly as possible.
