For many, goodbyes can be sad and painful. Letting go of people that you know is not the best feeling someone can experience, but it is often necessary. Students at Antioch Community High School come and go every year, but the departure of teachers is a unique experience.

Among the teachers and staff retiring this year is Rhonda Bradley, the Information and Learning Center clerk.

Bradley first started her job at ACHS in 1995 as the teachers’ secretary. In her previous job, Bradley would make ACHS teachers’ jobs easier by making copies, gathering books and sending notes. Now, she keeps the library organized and running efficiently while maintaining order with her many study hall students.

Although she’s excited to retire, there are a few things Bradley will miss about ACHS.

“I think what I’ll miss most about ACHS are some of the students and some of the staff,” said Bradley.

In Bradley’s retirement, she hopes to be able to relax and spend quality time with family. Her retirement opens a new chapter in Bradley’s life, one full of excitement.
