Cheering Loud Again

Competition season is quickly approaching for the cheer team.

The cheer competition season is starting back up. The Sequoits have been doing great the last couple of years by competing in sectionals, and making it to state. This season they are looking to continue the tradition of making a deep run, and performing at state. Last year in the beginning of the season the team did not start the way they wanted to, but came together when it mattered most, getting their best scores at conference and sectionals. This year they are looking to have a very strong season and making it to state once again.

“So far we have been doing very well as a team, and we have a lot of skilled athletes, and I have a lot of confidence in us for this upcoming season,” junior Miranda Karellas said.

This team had to say goodbye to three seniors from the year before which was tough, not only because the impact they had on the floor, but off the floor too.

The Sequoits could not be more excited that the season is starting again. Their first competition is December 11 at Rockford High School.
