As the second period progressed, the game got more and more physical. Crawford changed the atmosphere and tone of the game after charging Blues’ forward, Robby Fabbri. Shortly after, Duncan Keith, scored on a power play to give the Hawks the go-ahead goal. With the second period coming to an end, the Blues’ started to take charge of the ice, increasing their possession time. After multiple shots on goal with time ticking down, Tarasenko netted his second of the game.

The pressure is on for the Hawks at the beginning of the third, following and immediate goal by Jaden Schwartz on a powerplay and soon after that another goal by Alexander Steen.

Time was ticking and Keith scored his second goal of the game to keep the Hawks’ chances alive.

When the Hawks pulled their goalie to have the six on five advantage, the Blues’ scored, which would have ended any hope for the Hawks, but after being reviewed the Blues were called for offsides.
