The Cubs have been and keep surprising many people with the way they play and with the amount of wins they have been receiving. The Cubs have always been overlooked and not thought of being one of the best teams. There are a lot of people who have been Cubs fans from day one, but many people are just now starting to like the Cubs because they are doing very well this year.

“My family has always been fans of the Cubs and I have always liked them through the rough times and the amazing times,” sophomore Graci Leineberg said. “It really frustrates me when people are bandwagoners and just like the Cubs because they are having an amazing year.”

Many iconic moments have overshadowed the Cubs as a program throughout the past 100 years. For a true fan, horrible memories of Steve Bartman interfering on Moises Alou as he was trying to catch a foul ball. Also, the iconic billy goat that has been haunting Wrigley Field and the Cubs and their chances to bring a world series back to Chicago.

With game four of the NLCS on the horizon tonight, Cubs fans everywhere are hopeful their team can pull off a win and tie up the series 2-2.
