Taking time to sit down and paint on canvases has recently become very popular and just about anybody can do it. Here are some simple instructions on how to become an artist and make some creative little canvases that you can gift or decorate any wall.

Supplies needed

Canvases (can be bought at Walmart and local craft stores in the painting supplies area, a four pack of 8×10 canvases cost around $8)

Acrylic paints (2oz. bottles can be bought at Walmart and local craft stores for about $2)

Paint well

Paint brushes

Cup of water

Instructions for drawing

1. Find some inspiration.
2. Sketch out your drawing on your canvas, or create a stencil so you can trace it.
3. Add your paint to the wells.
4. Start painting your picture.
5. Add some personal touches>
6. Add your signature to your master piece.
7. Either gift or hang your painting!
