On Wed. Mar. 18, the Antioch Community High School varsity girl’s soccer team beat Waukegan High School 6-0.

The process of the 80 minute brawl progressed from slow in the first half to quick and upbeat by the second half, where the majority of the six goals were scored.

“We had many difficulties putting together passes and finishing shots, but after halftime we scored our first goal and just kept rolling in,” junior and captain Lauren Slack said. “Our team is very skilled but our problem is finding energy and demand for the ball, but we show that we can be demanding and aggressive and can’t wait to see what this season brings us.”

This is the team’s third game of the season. Mon. Mar. 16 marked the start of the regular season and turned into an unsettling loss with a final score of 0-2. Tues. Mar. 17 was the team’s second game of the season and resulted in a tie of 2-2. The team is showing strong performance on the field with their teammates and against their opponents.
