Raymond Kia Chevrolet announces Driving for Education Cum Laude Incentive

Top-performing seniors have the chance to secure a Chevrolet or Kia as they strive to achieve Cum Laude status.
With the support of Raymond Chevrolet / Kia in Antioch, District 117 Cum Laude graduates have the chance to win a new car. Watch the videos for details.

On Friday, Nov. 17, during the second period, all TVs in the district were interrupted by a special announcement from Mark Scarpelli of Raymond Chevrolet and Kia and District 117. The announcement was an approximately 90-second clip outlining the details for high-achieving seniors attempting to earn Cum Laude status, the opportunity to win a Chevrolet or Kia car.

Among the criteria was the reinstatement of attendance requirements. Before this year, it was required that all students who were attempting to earn Cum Laude had to have an attendance rate of 95% or higher. It was also announced that this giveaway will continue for the upcoming classes, encouraging them to stay on track for senior year.

Students are able to choose from these available capstone courses to meet the requirements for graduating Cum Laude. If you have questions about these courses or in which order you should be taking these, please see your guidance counselor.
