Senior Patrick Schoenfelder signed to wrestle for the University of Northern Iowa on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Schoenfelder has placed at state three times, winning Antioch’s first state championship title this year. After much contemplation, he has finally decided to continue his athletic career at UNI.

“I chose Northern Iowa because I loved the campus, the coaches are amazing and my teammates are committed to the sport,” Schoenfelder said. “They also have a family feel that really made me feel welcome.”

Schoenfelder is eager for the opportunities that Northern Iowa will provide for him.

“I am looking forward to starting a new chapter of my life and seeing how good I can be when it comes to school and wrestling,” Schoenfelder said.
