Thursday, May 4, the Sequoit baseball team hosted a game against the Round Lake Panthers. The Sequoits came out in the second inning to put four runs on the scoreboard. The Sequoits kept piling on runs the whole game, the defense of the Sequoits was solid for most of the game.

“We just kept hitting and hitting,” junior Nick Sheren said. “Today was just a good day at the plate for team.”

The last inning came up and the coaches decided to take out the starters and put some JV players into the game. The Panthers tried crawling their way back into the game by scoring five runs in their last attempt, but the Sequoits kept their cool and got the last out of the game to hold their lead to win the game.

“It was a nice win for us to have because we were able to put in kids that normally don’t play,” Sheren said.

The Sequoits are having a solid season so far and hope to keep improving with every game.
