Varsity softball has had a very successful season so far, but unfortunately added another loss to their record to Carmel on April 20.

The record for the Sequoits now stands at 14-6.

Junior Carlie Gaylord thinks the team has been strong offensively this season.

“Coming into the Carmel game was tough because we started the week off in a slump already. This season we have done a great job offensively, but we just need to clean up some things on defense,” said Gaylord.

The Sequoits had a very successful season last year, and work hard to make this year more successful than last.

Freshman Piper Foote had good feelings coming into Wednesday’s game.
“I knew coming in that they would have good pitching and power hitters through their lineup, but was confident our pitchers and defense would shut them down,” said Foote. “As a team, we have hit very well against tough pitchers and continued to be aggressive through every game. We need to stay united and always encourage our teammates through the good or bad. No matter what the situation is, we need to keep our heads up and work together as a team to win games,” said Foote.
Good luck to the girls in the rest of their season.
