Varsity softball continued their winning record with their win against North Chicago.

Both of the Sequoit’s scheduled games against North Chicago were played on April 12, resulting in a 10-0 win in both games.

Offense was strong and worked hard to get ahead as quick as possible. Defense stayed solid as well, making it impossible for North Chicago to score.

“We’ve been playing well as a team this season. We work together very well and have a strong defense,” said junior Ashley Stephens.

Last year’s team, with a regular season record of 21-10, lost many important key players. With no seniors currently on the team, it is important to train hard and create a successful team to carry on to next year.

“We need to stay focused for the rest of the season to keep improving and reach our goals,” said Stephens.
