North Shore Coast is a new upcoming music festival. North Shore Coast is held in Chicago and it is a smaller version of Lollapalooza. It is show casing artists who are new to the music scene and trying to spread their name.

The festival started in 2010 and had always been held in Chicago. Some of the artists who have been there in the past are very well known in the music world today. It is the festival to end the summer with a bang. It is always annually over the weekend of Labor day in Union Park.

Some of the staring artists are Lil Dicky, Post Malone, Gucci Mane and Ween.

“I found out about North Coast through Snapchat. I really wanted to go to see Post Malone and I also really wanted to go because it was a smaller Lolla & a bit cheaper,” said sophomore Natalie Svarc.

It has never been a huge event or hugely well known, but as the years go on and bigger stars start to go to North Coast it is slowly becoming a bigger deal. It features folk, rock, hip hop and DJ’s. It also has many different performances.

North Coast is not as big as some of the other music festivals that go on around the Chicagoland area, but it has some talented artists going and it is a different vibe compared to other festivals because of it’s size and performers.
