Fall has arrived, and that means it’s time for boots. Fashion lovers know that no fall wardrobe is complete without fall and winter boots to compliment those nice layered outfits. Whether they’re tall or short, there are plenty of styles out there to fit everyone’s likings. Here are the top five fall boots so far for this year.

Riding Boots

Boots like these tend to fit right below the knees, and they’re great for adding a nice sense of style to almost anything. They come in many colors and are usually leather. Sometimes, accessories can add bling to the boot. Places like Macy’s and Kohl’s have a wide range of riding boots to choose from.

“I love Uggs or any stylish zip up boots, and I love wearing them with with leggings or a dress with a scarf,” senior Casey Bala said.

Ankle Boots

These types of boots are great because they can be dressed up or dresses down for any occasion. Rolling skinny jeans up on the bottom about an inch above the boots can keep ankles from looking wide.

Combat Boots

If wanting to achieve more of an edgy look, combat boots are perfect. Cuff a favorite pair of jeans and add a beanie for as nice accessories to the outfit.

Rain Boots

Fall means rain, and there are plenty of types and colors of rain boots. No, they aren’t like the typical yellow ones someone would wear with a matching rain coat. There are many new, much more fashionable ones out there, such as ones from Hunter, H&M and Sperry.

Lace Up Heel Ankle Boots

These are for more of a dressed-up look, because they come in many colors and materials, such as suede and leather. They look great with fall dresses and cardigans.
