Transitioning Into The Blues

The perfect style trends to rock this winter season.

As the winter season says goodbye to autumn, styles and trends say goodbye as well. In the fall time, people usually wear brown and orange tones to embrace the autumn vibes, but as Christmas and the cold approach, they tend to leave the light sweaters behind and bundle in two or three layers.

Sophomore Jamie Nottingham believes that color depends on the mood the season may bring.

“My favorite colors to wear in the winter are dark reds and grays because they fit well with the weather,” Nottingham said.

Among all the trendy pieces winter may bring, the ones that catch many people’s attention are beanies, vests, sweater dresses and thick flannels. Many fashion statements that are seen throughout the fall season can also be found in winter outfits. These may include chunky sweaters, booties and knitted scarfs.

Some girls prefer to style their pieces according to coziness and and comfort which may apply to leggings, sweaters and UGGS or any kind of plain boots.

On the other hand, winter can be a season where girls go all out on their outfits, ranging from a dress with knee socks to booties, ripped jeans and an oversized knit sweater.

“My favorite outfit to wear during the winter season is a sweater with leggings and boots,” Nottingham said.

Although trends are constantly changing and people dress differently according to their taste and style, everyone brings a unique statement to the fashion world.
