The ACHS Student Council will be promoting this Valentine’s Day with “Valentine Carnations”.

This Wednesday to Friday, Feb. 3 to 5, students will have the opportunity during their lunch hours to stop by the commons or cafeteria and purchase a carnation flower. Attached to the flower, they will customize a short love note to anyone of their choice, whether it be a friend, teacher, or significant other. The carnations will be hand-delivered on Thursday, Feb. 11.

“I think this idea is super cute,” junior Maggie Ruffin said. “I know in the past it has been ‘candy grams’, so I think changing it up to flowers will be a hit; it’s classic, and what girl wouldn’t like to receive a flower for Valentine’s Day?” Ruffin added.

Student Council changed the idea to flowers in hopes of attracting more participants and to include something small and fun in the midst of the common “mid-semester stress.”
