No Shave November has recently ended and many boys are in need of a new razor to clean up their facial hair. What better to get a guy than a brand new razor for Christmas? Standing in the razor aisle at Walmart, it can seem pretty overwhelming to pick out the right razor, but this easy guide will distinguish the five best razors out there.

1. The Gillette Fusion Proglide Power Razor with new flexball technology is a top choice for razor users. The Fusion Proglide is one of the razors that gives the closest shave possible. This razor includes 5 thinner and finer blades to allow less tug and pull on the skin when shaving. With a very comfortable handle for the user to hold and with the easy maneuvering around the face with the flexball technology, the Gillette Fusion Proglide Razor is a top contender of razors and is also very affordable.

2. The Schick Hydro 5 Razor is another top contender for someone looking to get a boy a gift for the holidays or for boys who want to treat themselves to a new razor.  The Schick Hydro 5 Razor is similar to the Gillette Fusion Proglide Razor in the way that it reduces friction and irritation on the skin when shaving. This razor also has a water activated gel on the razor that helps keep the skin hydrated throughout the shave. Additionally, it has five very fine blades on it to get every hair on the face. The Schick Hydro 5 is also a very affordable and high performance razor.

3. The third razor to consider is the Merkur 34c/38c. This is more of an old-fashioned type of razor but it still works quite well. This razor gives a super-close, smooth shave and is one of the safest razors out there. The difference with this razor from the others is that its not all plastic, its metal. It’s very durable and will last a long time. The blades are very easy to swap in and out so there is no need to keep buying new razors. With it’s cheap price and long lasting frame, this is another high quality razor.

4. For the fouth razor on the list, the Gillette brand is back with the Gillette Mach 3 Turbo. This was the first style of razor to have the snap off disposable razor blades. It allows an easy change of blades once they go dull. This razor is made for users with sensitive skin and will not irritate the skin, rather, it hydrates during the shave.

5. The last razor on the list is the King of Shaves Hyperglide. With it’s water activated hydro gel on the front surface, the user will receive a clean smooth shave along the entire face. The great thing about this razor is there is no need to use shaving cream,  just run the razor under water and shave on.

Whether it’s a gift for someone else or oneself, make sure the right razor is chosen this winter season.
