The boys varsity basketball team played a tough game Tuesday, January 23, against the Grayslake North Knights; however the Sequoits did not end up with the outcome they wanted. The score was 50-49 in favor of the Knights.

A back and forth first half had the Sequoits trying their hardest to stay ahead. The two teams were chasing each other basket after basket. As the third quarter progressed it seemed that the Knights led with more energy and momentum, which had caused the Sequoits to start falling behind.

“I wish we would have came out on top, it was a well fought game and everyone played their hearts out,” junior Austin Andrews said. “I wish we were a bit more patient on offense at the end but our defense was strong and that helped us come close to winning.”

The boys fought hard and are hoping to redeem themselves at their next game. The boys play at home against the Wauconda Bulldogs on Friday, January 24 at 7:00 p.m.
