Antioch Choir takes on two different concerts in the span of one week; behind the scenes, time spent practicing and preparing makes  it something special. Sophomore Julius Catalan compares the two concerts and how they turned out.

“Holiday Lights was less stressful with less people compared to the winter concert, which was very lengthy and hundreds of people attended,” Catalan said.

The annual Holiday Lights was held at the same place as normal, the Antioch Community High School commons, but this time there were different voices and different motives.

“I think we improved a lot from last year,” Catalan said. “We sounded better and more mature as a group.”

Although both concerts went well, Catalan said he prefers one crowd over the other.

“Personally I liked singing in the winter concert more because I prefer singing to a larger crowd versus a smaller one,” he said.

Catalan, along with other choir members, will enjoy their two weeks off. However, when ACHS students arrive back from break, the choir members must start intensely preparing for their spring concert and competition.
