At a young age, children trust everything and everyone, however when children grow and turn into young adults, the circle of trust decreases.

Junior Mark Jones said, “I can mostly trust my best friend because they care about me enough to be there from the beginning to the end. They’ve never ever let me down in any situation, they’ve always been there. They know me even better than I do that’s how long they’ve been there. But even though I trust them with my life, I would always trust a parent more than a friend. They raised me and would without a doubt want my life more than a friend I think.”

Jones isn’t the only Antioch Community High School student who trusts his parents more than anyone else.

“I would trust my family with my life since they have always have had my back. They help in every way they can and always have my best interest in mind. They have never really let me down on anything important, but I would trust a friend more since they would be trustworthy and loyal,” said junior Lindsey Jablonski.

Having best friends by your side through those tough moments in life is very important because you can always count on them, but parents always know best.
